Hi! This is from a long gone Phillips 66 wholesaler in Arkansas. It is embossed with the number 32. The cylinder is 12.5” diameter and 18” tall.

Am i right in thinking this is an eight gallon bulk oil container carried on the back of a delivery truck to stations?

Is there a brass level indicator inside the neck?

Then it's probably NOT a transfer can.

It should have an indicator that shows when the full amount of oil is reached.
