Would this good gulf sign be too early to use on this pump I have . Also since this doesn’t have hole in top and probably never had a globe probably not correct to put a lighted globe on. Any idea what time frame these were used. Thanks for any help and suggestions Brent

Your pump was probably not ordered with a globe, but others of the same model were. It was an option back then. You might look at your light manifold & see if it has the light socket already on it even though it came without a globe hole. I’ve had pumps that didn’t have a hole in the top & they had the light socket capped with a plastic plug under the top. Wayne 80’s are good for this.

Thanks for reply and will check it out as I know it has both light sockets for the display present on both sides.
Do you think the sign I have would be correct for this model or something later like the interlocking good gulf sign. This looks newer but wanted to ask Thanks again Brent

The top sign was used between 1946-50, the sign with intelocking G's was used between 1950-56.
Cheers! Claes

I believe cggas is correct about the electric manifold and the globe holder. Attached, hopefully, is a picture of several Gulf pumps I was able to find in a bulk distribution facility years ago
