I DON'T KNOW BUT SOMEHOW LAST WEEK'S B.O.T.W. THREAD WAS KINDA DISAPPOINTING! HOPE WE CAN ALL CHANGE THAT THIS WEEK!

WHILE I WAS AT A SMALL SNOWED OUT SHOW THIS MORNING, I'LL SAVE MY "BUYS" FOR A LATER GROUPING.

I'D LIKE TO DEDICATE THIS B.O.T.W. EDITION TO THE REMEMBERANCE AND FOND MEMORIES OF NORMA POTTS AND ALSO TO THE POTTS FAMILY.

THANK YOU!

I got a lot of stuff the last week.
I got a copy of the volume two of Gas Station memorabilia off the internet and another copy of Warmans Gas station collectibles at the Old Gas booth at Columbia. Picked up about 35 back issues of the PCM magazine I did not have.
A set of 3 of the Sinclair mini quart can coin banks from a friend of mine.
A Sinclair funnel and a Sinclair brass barrel spout at Columbia.

Another red No Smoking sign and a Gulf pump plate from my brother, another Gulf plate from Ebay

Now for the more expensive stuff.
The Opaline sign was also from Columbia. It has a slight bend at the bottom but I think I got it for a very fair price.

The Sinclair strip sign was also from my brother. Nice shape except for one small bugger by the one screw hole.

The last sign is one I also posted in a seperate heading. I am trying to get information on it. Did anyone ever see one before or have a picture of one?

While at a local auction barn on Tuesday, I saw this globe, along with an NOS Fire Chief hat, and a big Gulf blotter that was like 6 feet tall.

Needless to say, I came back for the auction in the evening, and ended up getting quite the deal on the globe. The other things went higher than they were worth.

Here she is...

The globe its not without its problems. Cracks, some paint loss on the other side... But, I think it gives it character. After all, those flaws came from all the hail storms, sun, etc, that the globe encountered sitting on top of a pump back in the 50s I like the history... Especially for less than the cost of dinner for 2 at Friday's...

I got my first pumps yesterday. A couple of Wayne 80's for $75 each, complete with Black Widow spider at no extra charge. Also, a Chevron First Aid kit that has never been used. It was given to me.

Here's my meager BOTW. Looks nice on the shelf above the 9'9" X 18" porcelain Sinclair sign I posted in last week's BOTW.
