I know alot of people say that most of the Rochester signs are fake, but others say that there must have been an original somewhere that the fakes were patterned after. Regardless, I've never seen an orange one. Is this one just a white one that was painted orange, an orange fake, or what? -Tom

Perhaps you should contact the seller of auction 230247887835. He must be an expert on the topic of these Oval Mobil signs, he has a different one listed every week.

From what info I have been able get ALL the orange signs are fake or fantasy. No one has a photo of one in use, for as many as there are being sold. That is just one of many red\orange flags on these.
