Darryl, it looks like a vintage homemade job. Cool to have if it's old. As far as the story behind it, ? . Provenance as far as photo(s) would help to establish a value.

Looking for photos of 60s era Shell-A-Rama gas station Rt. 17 Mahwah,NJ (opposite Pal's Diner)

wow- that is kinda nuts, rich buys claims its authentic and it goes for double or more what he paid. Seem his book gives him the credibility to make the statements.

Look at the ford sign he bought, put some neon on it and its a double again.

WOW. That is good for business!

I have taken down anything I said about a sign on this post. Don't want anyone to get upset. I was talking about a sign and not a seller.

ONCE AGAIN ... AN INVESTIGATION.
... HERE THEY GO AGAIN.
AS USUAL FOR THE INTEGRITY OF THIS HOBBY AND MY CUSTOMERS, PAST AND FUTURE,
I WILL RESTATE WHAT I LISTED IN MY DESCRIPTION. THAT I BELIEVE THIS SIGN IS A GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC OLD ORIGINAL AND THATS WHY I BOUGHT IT. AND AS USUAL IT HAS A
100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HAD TO DEFEND MYSELF
AND MY ITEMS PARTICULARLY
... I WILL CONTINUE TO ADDRESS ANY AND ALL CONCERNS THAT
CUSTOMERS/ENTHUSIASTS HAVE. I AM NOT DEFENDING MYSELF TO PLAY INTO THE GAME ...
I WILL PAY FOR THE TEST
TO HAVE IT AUTHENTICATED IF THE BUYER HAS ANY DOUBTS AND I WOULD
GIVE A 100% MONEY BACK IF IT IS NOT AS I BELIEVE IT TO BE.
ONCE AGAIN THIS HOBBY DOESN'T NEED THESE KINDS OF BAD VIBRATIONS.
RICH AMISTADI

WOW Richard Amistadi please don't be so defensive, please re-read my post again, better yet i will put it here for you in a direct quote..

.."I really like & collect jeweled signs however i have never seen this one before.....Has anyone else ever seen this??"

If i got positive feedback about this sign (which i didn't} on this website, i just may have bid on it, however now with your accusations i probably won't, but if i do, i will know its guaranteed 100% ..............Darryl Tilden

Lets keep it clean everyone!

We can have a discussion about a sign but lets not start trying to discredit any our members.

Look above at my first post, I took down everything I was wondering about the sign to keep the peace. I hope the personal attacks on Daryl and myself stop. It has been real quiet around here thankfully until now. I will NOT post on this subject again.

In all fairness, Roger's original message in this topic stated his concerns about the layout of the jewels in the sign and questioned its use as an official Indian company sign. He did not make any statements direct or indirect about the seller.

Roger has his opinion about the design and construction of the sign. He steered clear of any personal attack on the seller. Rich Amistadi took it personal, which is understandable, but there were no negative statements made about him or his business by Roger or Darryl in their original posts.

GOD BLESS AMERICA !! I agree Buy low & sell it for as much as you can get, nothing wrong with that..............

I will ask the same question..... Has anybody ever seen one of these, ?? I will now add, Does this look like a sign Indian Motorcycle would put up along side the road ? Its a very sloppy job of placing the jewels, however i have seen stranger things happen..........as i said , I collect old jeweled signs & would love to have this in my collection & think its a steal @ $2000.00, but only if its really from the 20's or 30's & production made for Indian, not some aftermarket job .......
