Hello All,
I'm new to the forum and doing some research on Maxwell Petroleum Corporation, which was apparently purchased by the General Petroleum Corporation, which was later bought out by Mobil.
Does anyone have any resources for the history of any of these first two companies?

Hey Dave, Glad to see someone from up there looking for history. There was quit a few oil producers and marketers from Oregon and Washington. like Clipper, Time, and others but no one seems to have any info on them, You might want to try this number of " ASTRO WSCO"Petroleum and ask them they gave out a calender at the gas bash that had a lot of info in it 800-927-1487 good luck .

Here in western Washington the Binger Oil gas stations became Maxwell then Douglas stations. I think they later went to Time Oil and/or Gull Oil.

I alos am new to this form and need a lot of help! I am looking for information on General Petroleum Corp., a Delaware Corp., located at: 417 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, Calif. in 1948. If you have any info. on this company or who may have taken it over, please replay.

For info on Mobil try the Mobil retirees web site www.emretiree.com if you can get one of the guys to give you a call you might come up with your info.Just a thought.
