Im currently refinishing my first pump, I couldn't find any labels or markings on the pump to say its brand. Until I found "wayne" stamped inside the base. After looking thru Jack Sim's book I think its a Wayne 70, except mine doesn't have the add glass on top. Is mine a cheap version of this pump? or a completely different pump? all the hardware is the same. Just curious, thanks for any help.

Hi Junior, can you tell us how tall your pump is , I've had 6 wayne 70 and they all had 4 add glass but wayne did make some smaller pumps that did not , some the add glass was below the face glass , but if you have a pump thats not in Mr. Sims book , send a picture to Ron Scobie , can anybody else answer his question ,need to know the heighth.

My pump only has the face glass, no add glass anywhere. I believe it's about 5 1/2ft tall without a globe?? I'll measure it tonite when I get home and let you know for sure. I'll also take some pics once its back together.

Wayne made variations of the 70, some with no ad glass in the doors, some with ad glass above the sight glass, and some below.
Also variations in on/off mechs, some pumps had cast frames and nameplates rather than stainless. Although I have never owned one, I have seen versions that were shorter than the original wayne 70 but not as short as a 100.

YES LARRY IS RIGHT!! THERE IS SEVERAL DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE 70.. I HAD ONE THAT HAD NO ADD GLASS , WAS A NON COMPUTING PUMP, AND HAD A "VISU" GAUGE, BUT ITS TAG NUMBER CALLED IT A 672?? [IT WAS AN OFF WAYNE 70] ANYWAY,, TO ANSWER YOUR ? IT IS A GREAT PUMP JUST THE ADD GLASS ONES DISPLAY BETTER IN MY OPINION... FRANK...

thanks for all your replys. I went home and measured my pump. I was wrong, it is only 5ft high without the globe. I will post pics as soon as Im finished with it. again, thanx for everything.

At 5' I think what you have is not a wayne 70 but a small version of it from the fiftys , I have a wayne with the dog on the faces (painted ) and fading , the add glass is below the face glass and it has that big heavy turn table, like the one frankie showed , but a guy came by and offered me 500.00 for it ,but the number in the wayne tag said , mod. 100 A-2

It sounds like a wayne 70 that was possibly a factory cut down unit. I have one also i am restoring. It had me confused for a while. If you look on the inside of the door above the window you should be able to see a clean looking weld joint.

Yes, "Zip's" is exactly right. Both doors and each side are cut and welded. I thought that was the way it was made, but it has been cut down. Everyone's help has been great. Thank you all.

I got this pump from my uncle a few months ago. I told him I was looking for one. I didn't know he had a few! I traded him for one of (2) old 50's refridgerators that were in the basement of my house when I bought it. He has 4 pumps (2 unfinshed for me to choose from). So I think we both got a good deal. He's currently painting flames on the fridge. Looks really cool!!!!! I'm gonna do that to my "extra" fridge after I finish this pump.
