I have 4 sight glass peices soaking in simple green with my computers . Its been 2 days and the computers are on their way but i cant get the dull grime of the outside same place on all 4. what will clean it with out damageing the glass? I used simple green,paint stripper,dental cleaner and its tuff with a razor blade.

I use fine steel wool with the Simple Green.

They will always clean up the way Coops said it. That is what I have done on over 50 electric pumps to date.

Clamp a 1/2" drill motor in vice w/ a wood dowel in chuck, wrapped with a ball of steel wool. Will take longer to get ready than clean all your spinner glasses.

I use this stuff called purple cleaner from Car Quest auto parts stores. It melts that brown crud right off.

Yeah I've never met a sight glass that didn't come clean with Simple Green. They also make a higher powered Simple Green I think called "Xtreme" that is more of a degreaser than anything else that works great.

I read on an old bottle site, where if there is discoloring to the glass, it can be polished out by tumbling with small 1/16" or so pieces of small dia. copper wire.

Be sure to buy the 0000 grade steel wool. It works great cleaning up dirty porcelain faces.

Can u post a pic? I am lost to what you are psoting about. How about a pic of them soaking? Or after you pull them out. Sorry it's been a long day.
