I called a friend in So. Cal to tell him about the "collection" and he was there 3 weeks ago to look it over. The guy is very firm on his rediculous prices...won't budge, and many of his signs are in poor condition. These prices are far far above even retail.

If someone would give me $9000 for my signal A38 which is exactly the same as his, I would take it in a heartbeat! I would think that pump would be worth $3500 tops.

I stopped by his shop last week and many of the signs were sold. I also looked at one of the pumps he had left- done up very nice, original ad glasses and faces in great shape. Another nice touch- he didnt use decals for the brand- he hired an artist to paint them on. If only I had a couple extra bucks...

His prices on the unrestored A38s (he also had some 62s listed as 38s) actually aren't bad... I guess he's pretty proud of those restored pumps, they're nice!
