Does anyone know of a supplier of parts (especially decals) for pumps from the late fifties and early sixties? These pumps from the muscle era will soon be the collectibles of tomorrow. Parts and info are harder to find than for old visibles. I have a couple of late fifties suction pumps that I'd like to restore without using decals from a prior era. Greg

Hi Greg, if you would go to the main page and look in the menu , under parts theres a bunch of them , I use gaspumpheaven , Ron Scobie, Mike Slama ,and Vic's each for different things , there all great , good luck on your project, H T H.

Thanks Guys; appreciate the help. I also ran across a web site for United Sign, which has more modern logos for newer gas stations and convienience stores at reasonable prices. There still seems to be a large void between 1955 and 1968. I know this doesn't seem that long ago, but that's almost 50 years ago. One problem that I fear is that when leaded gas was outlawed and the dispensers began using submersible pumps, the meters were rebuilt and installed in newer shells, and the older sheet metal was scrapped. Even though much of this was stainless steel and woould make restorations in the future much easier, the thinner materials were cheap enough to discard rather than save. Hope I'm wrong...

When I was a Check the Oil subscriber, there were quite a few guys who had made decals for the sixties muscle car era pumps
like the sonoco, 76, etc. Maybe you could run an ad in CTO and get some responses. Seems to me the pumps carried a lot of banners and decals on them. I also see authentic 60 and 70 decals on ebay occasionally.
