anyone have a pic of how a sign is mounted on a lubster,the 3 different lubsters ive dragged home all have a little swing arm on one of the four long bolts around the cylinder,the arm has a hole in it and can also move up and down the bolt,is that for mounting the sign?thanks in advance. Mike

I bought a bracket for mine that mounts it above the adjustment screw. Bought the repop sign and bracket from a guy on feebay. Just search under Texaco or Mobil signs.

Hi Mike the arm your talking about is used to lock the crank handle. Richard

Lubsters were not the most important thing in a service station, and very few of them had signs that were mounted on the top of them. Most were lined up along a wall, and the only thing visible was the front of the lubster and and a decal was placed on them to indicate what the contents were. I have seen Pennzoil next to Mobil, next to Texaco. Back when, station sold what ever they thought their custemers wanted.
Don't get me wromg. restore the unit the way you like it, that's all that counts.
