I always smile when I read a post like "always lookin" (not picking on you, as we seem to get a lot of new members who are shocked by values of some smalls)... Oil cans from some of the smaller companies do go for big money and hold there value even when not in the best of condition...
The same for Handy Oilers from these companies... Here is one from Johnson Oil that ended almost 2 weeks ago. # 180636258556
Sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack the thread... figured some of those who have been passing on theses smalls, might read this thread and rethink about passing them by at a antique store or swap meet the next time they see an old Gilmore can or ......

On the other hand, I have been collecting for over 20 years and have NEVER found an oil can worth more than $50. out in the wild. They are out there, but there are also very few of the high dollar cans unfound so don't go and start buying anything.

I would say Due to condition about $350 tops for all 3 cans.

lol, we all cant know everything about all. About 2 month ago I guy showed me a case of metal cans, nos, perfect. They had a oil derrick on them and it said Henry oil co. ny. He wanted 100 bucks for the case. Since I know .... about cans I had to pass... hmmm I wonder.

$450-500 from what I've seen them go for lately. Too bad the Golden Lion is all beat up.

OK, the can on the Left is in Best Condition and the most common Value??
Middle Can Value??
Right Can?? Gonna make and difference If I Drain Them?? Understand there is at least 1 more quart can and that is??
