The Contains Lead signs that I have seen have either "ANTIKNOCK COMPOUNDS" OR "(TETRAETHYL)" at the bottom. While the two terms have the same meaning, is there knowledge as to which term was first introduced and required to be displayed on pumps? And, what years or general time periods were the two terms introduced?

"(TETRAETHYL)" CAME OUT IN 1932-1990s And the ones with no border 1950s "ANTIKNOCK COMPOUNDS" 1960s See a lot more of the Tetraethyl's than the Antiknock's Hope this answers your question
