The horn is from a 33-4 Ford, there are repop tops, I have 36 and 37 panel trucks which the horn part differs. Lucky for me the commercial is cheaper! (reposted)

I put it in the discussion part of the forum. It turns out that a 1910 station isnt up for discussion. All I tried to do was take anyone that wanted to see the photos step by step of what we find. I didnt ask for a value.

This topic was originally posted in the Petroliana Value Questions forum. The items pictured did not appear to be petroliana. Auto parts and soda signs are non-petro even if they are found in what used to be a gas station.

The Value forum guidelines forbid offering items for sale. A post was made saying the items would be available if nobody complained that they were non-petro.

The forum guidelines are the same for everyone. They apply even if you don't agree.

True..It was in the value section, also the discussion. Value and discussion forum, the discussion part is why I posted it there..But I never posted them for sale nor did I ask a value on them. I have already found a Gorgoyle sign and Sinclair HC sign. One guy told me to look on the walls and ceilings because they used signs to plug holes. I thought that was very good advice. It was a early gas station, thats why I posted it in the discussion part. Seems there is no discussion part of it. I never even got a chance to post the gas signs. Ive seen tire signs, battery signs and photos of photos of gas stations in the forum. I guess im wrong, digging up a 100yr old gas station has nothing to do with petro....

Many Thanks.

This is really sad.

Numerous posts have been removed from this topic including several personal attacks on members. Moderators have received a record number of complaints. Yet some feel they are exempt from the rules.

Certainly viewers of this site are interested in old gas stations. Pictures of the stations are welcome on this site. We ask that members respect one another, not post personal attacks and to post non-petro and/or for sale items in the appropriate forums.

Our long standing definition of petroliana includes petroleum company memorabilia, auto service collectibles and auto dealership signage. Auto service includes spark plug, tire, battery and related service signage.

While many of our members collect them and some old gas stations had them - soda, candy, cigarette and condom machines and signs are not considered petroliana. Pictures of those items, questions and sales of them are very welcome in the non-petro forums.

The moderators don't have time to continually and repeatedly deal with one topic that causes so much disruption. So this topic is locked.
