I have 2 NOS Texaco decals that are stuck together with a sheet of onion skin paper between them. Is there a trick to soaking these decals so they can be used?

Thanks for any information!

Maybe steaming ,but just a guess. Hate to see you waste them banking on a guess.

I do not know about these, but old water transfer vending machine decals are often unusable. They will split and shred when they get wet. About the only thing they are good for is to display or photocopy. Be careful.

I wouldn't try to separate TILL your ready to apply, either on to glass or a painted pump.
I have in the past given old decals a lite coating of Clear Krylon, then cutting lightly around the edge w/ an Xacto knife.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I might experiment with these two decals. A friend has a full box of these decals and all of them are just like this. . .stuck face-to-face.
