I'm restoring this pump, and the ID tag has some paint on it. Does anyone know the best way to remove paint from these tags without removing the black paint? Is it even possible? Also the black paint and aluminum are oxidized, can this be cleaned?
One last question that I'm sure has been asked a bunch of times, but my pump came with a bracket that sticks through the top on one of the side panels. I've been told its for a price sign, but cant seem to find any pictures of one. Does anyone have a picture of what goes on this bracket, and does anyone know where I can get one of "what ever it is"?

The tok 39 tag had did not have any raised lettering on it. As such it was impossible to restore. Many other tags have raised letters and you can repaint the black and sand or steel wool the paint off the raised letters. A new tag is probably your only choice for this one.

thats what i thought, so the next question is how does everyone get the information stamped onto the new tag?
and i still have no clue what the bracket is for, here are some pics of the bracket itself, and one of the hole that it came out of in the reset crank side panel. any info would be appreciated. thanks

I stamp new I.D. plates using 1/8" die stamps. You can buy the cheap made in China ones available at most tool supply places since you will only be stamping aluminum. Buy a number set and an alphabet set.

I also have a 39. As I understand it the hole in the top of the side cover was for an optional price sign. I'm guessing this would probably be what the bracket was used for.

I also have a 39 and it had the post sticking out on the hose side, I have learned it was for a pricer sign, I also removed the post from mine as I think it looks much better without it.
I am curious where you got the rubber molding that fit's along the bottom edge of the top? I would like to get some for mine to prevent the top of the sides from getting scratched.
Always looking for Frontier and Beeline items.
