I bought this Gilbarco 44 pump tonight. I have to go cut it loose this week. I plan to use my Sawsall. Is there anything special that I need to know before I cut her loose? The pump has not been used since the early 90’s.
The pump is in real good condition. The chrome around the glass is pitted and potted. Any suggestions? Thanks, Rex.

P.S. Thanks for all of the positive responses about my son and grandkids helping get the Standard sign up.

Rex, I restored one once and the chrome was also pitted. I polished and buffed for hours. I got a high luster shine, but the pitting was still there. I guess you could build it up with primer and paint them, but I'd rechrome them if I had it to do over again.
