thought i would share my recent find! i dont have a digital camera or know how to post pictures but i'll tell the story.
a guy i work with told me about three months ago that his brother inlaw had a old electric pump on the farm that they did not use any more. i asked him to find out if he wanted to sell it and if so how much. ( ok so i bugged him for three months) any way he finally said he would sell it for 50.00 dollars but he did not know what kind it was .
we finally got together today to go look at it. when we pulled into the farm i could see a bowser 585 setting out back.
we got out and introductions were made and we stood around b.s. for awhile , the whole time i'm trying to check out the bowser.
finally he asked if i wanted to go look at the pump , so i followed him out . and he walked right past the bowser said he was still using that one .
we walked out to a old dump and he pointed to a spot in the corner and said there it is .
i could hardly contain myself when i saw it. a tokheim 36b ! it was in very good condition, missing only a few parts.
well it looks like i have a good winter project .

thats kind of a long story but i thought i would share . i really like to read some of the stories on this site

everybody have a merry christmas

dave

p.s. i told the guy to call me when the bowser gives out!

Cool story, thought you had a good score, it got better!!

Amazing how fast Dick Bennett jumps in there with that line!!
Everytime I try that line I;
"A" Get my face slapped!! (at the beach!) or

"B" They Say.."Hey DODO you're not in Kansas anymore"!!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>Wishin I was in Kansas,,Home of the 50$ Tokheim 36 top, but you gatta take the rest of the pump"..dodogas
