Use Photo Bucket or Image Shack, both are FREE Image Hosting Sites. Instructions are in the TEST FORUM

Here is how to upload pictures.

I have activated the "File Manager" direct image upload feature to the forums. Try out the new system on the "Testing Area" forum. You may still use ImageShack or Photobucket and the [img] tags to display pictures in all forums.

Images need to be sized to 640 x 480 or smaller and 150k in memory size or smaller. We recommend using the software that came with your digital camera to resize. A good practice is to reset the resolution on your camera temporarily to 640 x 480 to save time to upload.
Or use - Online free image resizing instructions:
http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=199328

Instructions:
* Click on "New Topic" or "New Reply"
* Then click on "File Manager"
* Click on "Browse" and select your image. Images should be 640 x 480 or less and 100k or less.
* Add text in caption box
* Click the "Add File" button
* Click the "Done Adding Files" button.
* Fill out the Subject and Post message box (no image code is needed) Preview button will not show image
* Click "Submit"

Pictures of the computer screen during the process can be found here:

A "Resize" tip from member Bruzer75:

"What I did last night to resize the picture I wanted before I tried posting it. I resized by right clicking on the picture itself. One of the choices is "Send To" when you put the pointer on it you get more choices. Left click on "Email Recipient". A little "Attach Files" screen comes up with "Picture Size" I left click and one of the choices is "Smaller:640X480". Click on that and then "Attach". Now your picture is smaller and an attachment to email. Double left click on your "Attach" Picture in the email and that brings the picture full screen. Left click on "File" and "Make a copy". That copy should be saved under pictures. So with all that when you go to post a picture on oldgas and click on "Browse" your smaller picture should be one of the choices. (I hope there is a better way, that I do not know yet) Good luck.
Mike"

Try it!
