Hey guys,
I just wanted to share a nice experience I had today. I am wrapping up my Tokheim 39, the one from "Not Again...." in Showcase and Stories, and I needed glass. No hardware store I went to would cut glass with rounded corners. Only one glass shop would do it for $65/hour plus materials, the rest all said they were too busy or didn't bother with small orders. I was running out of options fast, then it came to me, a stained glass shop. All those guys do is deal with complicated cuts in glass. I called one up here in town, and he had both windows done in 20 minutes for about $25.

Thats great! My glass shop here in town will bend over backwards to help with even the smallest of orders! Nice to be from small town America--sometimes!

NO KIDDING Kevin. Couple here in town might have charged less than that.
$65/hour is cheaper than HVAC guys charge just for lighting a Pilot!
I showed the wife how to do it, when I ain't home.

I've got one better than that. I had two window glasses cut for the Erie 748 I am finishing up at our local shop here in MO last week. Total cost....$9.52, that was for both. Dick, you should have stayed in Missouri.......GB

My brother-in-law owns an optical shop. I cut them straight and then grind the corners round with one of their wet dustless grinders. Those grinders also come in handy when I'm fitting ad glasses.

I am lucky,my wife does stained glass an has all the diamond saws and glass cutters to do this.Bill
