I've recently come across a lot of postcards which are repros of the posters Shell put on their lorries etc. in the 1930's, many famous artists of the time contributed. Shell's idea was to publicise British landmarks, historic buildings, etc. that could be reached using Shell petrol and oil. This was a series of 10 sets of 10 postcards. I'm told that the project was given to a South London printer and then cancelled, all postcards were supposed to have been destroyed. I have searched the web and many other sources and cannot find any mention or reference to this series. Does any one out there have any knowledge or information? I would be very much obliged. Cheers, Johnnybgoode
