Hi. I was hoping someone could tell me whether this sign is an original United Motors Service sign or a reproduction. The seller says it is original and the porcelain has been restored. It is 33 x 17 inches in size. I tried to find information on line, but was unsuccessful. Hoping someone here can help me.

The lettering/font for "Service" doesn't look right to me, something about the R...

the R is the only letter close to being right- size is a odd size for the sign mine meas. 35 1/2 X 20 IMO- repro or restored, you don't want either..

Everything about that screams run away,,, to me at least. The middle letters look ALL wrong. ,,,and how did they "restore" the porcelain???

Did that come from one of those Famous Dave Restaurants? I know they had a lot of these that were repops. If the second one shown is the real deal, look at the big neon holes, they are not in the same place.

1st 2-3 times it was listed on ebay Ya could have BIN for $3500, Now seller has DROPPED it to $2,000! That should tell ya how much he believes it's Original!
