Yeah it's been awhile for sure. Have you seen the gulf pump?

I've seen it in person and the globe is fake and the sign is fake.

According to the CD that Gulf globe is Rarity 6 which says only one known to exist. So either this is the one, or it's time to update the CD. And if there are only two or three of these in the world, then I would think that is a pretty good price.

Wasn't there one of those Gulf globes on feebay a few months ago that had supposedly been found in a closet in an old station building somewhere in mint condition? Can't remember what it brought, maybe this is the same globe?...GB.

I believe this is the one you are speaking about.

Pics are gone in listing for some reason. But bases on the title this was the No Nox one. So it was one of the 2 I've pictured below. Both according to the CD, are slightly more available than the one in question here. It brought $3300.

If you study the cd, rarity does not always yield/command a high price. Other considerations come into play. The seller is open to serious offers, so they probably could be bought for a little less.

...that has to be an error on the CD...that's a fairly common globe, I've had three of them over the years, and a buddy of mine has one as well...in fact, we each bought one from Scott...

...the seller who is asking $4K for that globe is clearly out of their depth, and fishing...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Well at least I don't feel bad for calling this guy out on his price. For a second I was almost convinced it was a one of a kind piece.
