I just bought a cast iron base with two Texaco logos cast on it and a stair step embossing on either sides with the words "Tuneup", "Heater Hose", "Tires & Tubes" on one side and "Batteries", Anti-freeze", Air Filters Oil Filters" on the other side. Does anyone know what stood on this base (it has a threaded 1 1/2" hole)? Any ideas what it's worth? I can email pictures if you need them to help identify it.

I was always told these bases were a fantasy piece. I PAID $165 FOR A RUSTY LOOKING ONE. IT WAS DATED 1936 AND EMBOSSED MEXICO ON THE BOTTOM.

This one was rusty when I got it too. I just painted it like I thought it should look in color (it was probably just black originally). It is not stamped Mexico on the back. I can't quite make out the stamping under the Texaco logo, but it looks like some manufacturers info. (I don't mean the "REG TM" part, but below the circle). Still need more help on this one???
