What do you guys use to fasten the I.D. tags to your pumps after you restore them? To my eye pop rivets look kind of cheesy. I have used real small brass machine screws with a nut to hold mine on. Anybody make a blind-type rivet we can use, like they originally did back in the 20's?? A hammer-in spiral kind of rivet?

McMaster Carr has them zinc plated or stainless. Go to www.mcmastercarr.com, then enter 90081A003 for a search item, that will get you to the right page. They are not expensive but you have to order them in qtys of 100.

I use the original screws. Just use a needlenose pliers and polish them up on grinder with a wire brush.

Drive with Care and Buy Sinclair!! I buy Sinclair globes, signs, cans, ect.
