There were fiberglass buttons signs used at Flying A Stations...
As to this one being real, I can not say... But, something doesn't look right, to me... It is not re-enforced on the back, has a "funky" (IMO) anchoring bar/support...
The one's I personally have seen, had 3 anchoring supports re-enforced to the back of the button. They were slotted to slip over a bolt/toggle system, to ensure the wind could not lift the sign nor rock it side to side....
The Station I worked at here in the area; had a large Button attached to the wall facing the Street...
After the Station closed the former Owner placed the button on his barn and it became a "local Landmark" up into the 90s... When he died and his family sold the building....

Thank I wondered about the lack of support brackets.have worked with fiberglass so I know it would be easy to replicate something like this. Price is crazy high anyway I was just wondering for future reference.

The guy I bought it from in carlisle had a few different ones aswell route 66 and shell. He said he sold some in the past that were painted up. So it probably a common item that you can find in the future
