I have a copy of this book for sale on E-Bay. I was wanting one for myself and couldn't find one, my wife got one from one of the Oldgas advertisers at considerably more than my starting price on E-Bay. A week after receiving mine, at a reunion two more were given to me. I forgot to list one here and it sold last week, sorry. Prices on E-Bay and Amazon are crazy in my opinion. The only copy of my first book that I have is the beat up one I used to write the 2nd edition, I forgot to save a NOS one. Did wrap a copy of the 2nd book in plastic

Jack, I think by the demand and prices being realized, this is proof of a job well done on your book.

I am 70 years old, and have only four pumps among my petrol collection, but I enjoy going through the book looking at pumps I saw and used in all my travels.

Hay jack just wondering if there's enough demand for your books why don't you print them any more

First of all, I didn't print them, they were printed by Krause Publishing Co. This is a very large printing company, they print: Old Car Weekly, all the books and weeklies for the coin and stamp collectors, etc. They printed somewhere between 8,000 & 10,000 copies of my book. Most sold the first year, less the next year, even less the third year, etc. and very few the last year. There isn't any demand for a 2008 book with values.

Second, very few books are being printed, it is easier to go to e-books or on a CD. Also look at the fine print page of my book, you will notice the book was printed in China.

I have been asked to write a third edition, but if I do write it, it will be more than a ID book, more about that later.

Early on Cindy advised me she had found one last copy but I didn't want to mention it earlier while the original book was still for sale.
