Hello Fellow Collectors,
I have come across this beautiful Texaco Model Car. The car itself has been preserved with the original box and plastic packaging. The box is in good shape with some wear. This is a nice little item with great details. It has some weight to it, and feels very sturdy and well made.
-Texaco Logo on doors.
-On rear sides "The Texas Company" "Petroleum and Its Products"
-Real rubber tires
-Is is aprox. 6" long and 4" High

Year 1988 printed on bottom of box.

Would be a great addition to any collection!
If you have any questions just reply to post and I'll promptly answer.
Im looking to get $25 plus $5 for shipping. I will take offers so dont be afraid to shoot me a reasonable offer!
Send me a PM or reply to posting.

Thanks,
Paulie D

You're probably not getting a response because the item is widely available on Ebay at as little as 1.99 - just too common

On ebay be sure to Read/Ask about Size, large or small version.

Yeh You're right Dave. I searched completed listings on ebay before i posted this, but now Im realizing that they were not all items that sold. I guess I should just hang on to it. Been cleaning out my Grandfathers house (could make an episode of Hoarders) and have been trying to sell what I can. O well. Thanks for the info.

I used to sell diecast cars/trucks/airplanes, especially Texaco. (That's how I got started collecting Texaco signs, etc) Used to be a #1 Truck in the box was $1000 and a #1 airplane were $200. That was at shows or on ebay. The market has fallen flat on its face.

In 2005, I bought #1 to #5 at a show for $1500.00. Today, I can buy them off of e-Bay for about $500.00.

At Monroe Swap meet last month, there was a vendor selling #10 & up for $10.00 a piece (take was the marked price).

Texaco series #10 and up were between $14.95 and $24.95 whole sale for the regular edition. When I stopped selling the truck sets (reg and spec edition) were about $56 a set and the airplanes were about $70 a set wholesale. When Chevron/Texaco changed their supplier and allowed the public to buy individual sets direct for the same wholeale price I was paying by the case, I knew it was time to get out. Prices started to tank after that.
