I don't believe it would actually be made by Tiffany Studios, New York as they were art glass specialists, not an advertising sign manufacturer. There were lots of stained glass window manufacturers at the turn of the century doing this kind of work. Now days, all of this type of work has been given the generic term "Tiffany" to denote the style, not the actual manufacturer. It is a neat piece but I can't help with a value or if it actually is a gas related sign or not. One could assume it is, but there could have been some other business using that name in the first quarter or so of the 20th century that had a business front fancy enough to have the window made. The local Ford garage built in 1922 had a oval logo stained glass window above the door. I wish it was still there!

It is a neat item. If it is a gas company sign, it more than likely would have been from an office building more than a station. I buy leaded glass signs because they are early, unusual and cheap. Most are around 1 to 3 hundred, I paid 5 hundred for a large 3 foot by 8 foot HOTEL sign in a lighted cabinet. They have a limited market and it's up to the person buying, but I wouldn't want to pay over 4 hundred for that one unless you are a diehard White Rose collector and just have to have it.

The original poster states that the sign is flawless and you somehow can note all that damage from the photo's??

Even in a damaged state that is worth more $400.00 in my area.

...sigh...

...I don't think the sign is actually being offered for sale, I'm pretty sure it was just listed in the wrong forum...sounds like tlbeer14 just wants to know what it is, and what it's worth...

...even if it were for sale, I fail to see how my disagreeing with an appraisal obligates me to purchase that item? confused

I believe the sign is associated with White Rose Tea. There may have been another sign that went below this one that read Ceylon Tea or something like that.
Cheers
