I've bought some very nice items from this guy in the past and i dont think he would lie to me, he's 89 years old. They do look pretty old as they been setting in the same place for over 30 years as i can remember.
So when i find a sign that is made out of wood because of the war or that is what im told, are they fake or not or how can you tell
Thanks guys

Possibly the one flying above a cloud, all I have seen were painted on wood.

Like DB mentioned, there is a General Petroleum wood Pegasus sign, but all I have seen are quite large and as mentioned has Pegasus above a cluster of clouds. There is also a Masonite shield used on the Tavern products display, but I am unaware of any wood signs that are just the Pegasus itself. Could be something a station owner made himself back in the day.

As always, photos are a big help with questions such as this, although they are nothing close to a "in hand" inspection.

The wood ones in the cloud look something like this.

They were made on marine grade plywood.
