seen a short 39 unrestored at an auction last year go for $750.00 needless to say i did not take it home!

thanks. 300-400 is what I thought. This guy is asking 850.00, but I am working on him. I will post some pics later this week.

I'm no expert by any means but I've learned that it seems to be all about location ! $850.00 seems pretty high. I paid $300 for this one and was glad to pay it ! I saw one last year in Portland, Oregon go $700.00 in worse shape so whatta ya do ? I concur with dicespumpandpaint, $250-400 seems about right. Z

Steve, what does the TCP decal stand for? Was it an additive for Shell?

Remember, when placing a price on the pump, sometimes they come with added value. I bought a tall 39 about 6 months ago for $900. It had a globe worth $250/325, and complete. All I had to do was buff it out. Below there is one on feebay now with a globe and signs at $511, I believe worth the money. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300091096664
