I found this brigestone motorcycle a few days ago, There is a lot dust and dirt on it but will clean up pretty nice It shows only 395 miles on it and its been sheded for over 20 yrs. very nice condition. Would this bike be worth getting running and cleaning up or not? Waning to know a value.. And its a 1970 [img:center] [/img]

It's a fair bike if you paid under 500 for it I would get it running strong and sell it after about a year of having it. I'd like to find that style of bike.

I wouldn't get it running. sell it as a barn find and let someone else deal with the headaches. I think you'll be lucky to get $300. out of it, running or not.

That bike definitely looks like it will clean up. A little dirt makes these old bikes look like *****, but when you give them the needed TLC they are pretty sharp. With low miles there are plenty of good buyers. $1k-1250 average to an avid collector in SC.
There are plenty of this style that many miles were put on and then they were ditched in favor of larger versions or traded for someones first car. Those bikes tend to be in the $300 range because they've been through the wringer more than once.

The bluebook on that bike in Good is 1250, a bit more than double in Mint condition. It does look like yours may have a few scratches, so BB is probably more like $1800... but a book never sold anything.
Post a pic when you get it polished up.

I think you should clean it up and get it running! When you kick it over for a prospective buyer, and it fires right up, it removes any doubts he has about the bike. With that low of mileage on it, $1000 to $1250 would be a fair value!
Should be a piece of cake to get running with those low miles! Not much usage so far, so nothing should be worn out!

Well I cleaned it up and took closer looks at it and it needs all new cables and the motor is locked up but if i got the cables for it I know it will be easy to drop the clutch to free the motor. I think i will sell it and let someone do the work I dont think 500 would be too far out of range Ill post some pics of what it looks like cleaned up a little
