Mike, im not saying that within the last 15 years it hasnt been a good investment. Alot of collectors have made alot of money. But, the prices are so high they will eventually have to drop. Plus, if something is only worth what u can get someone to pay for it. There is no fixed value that can be counted on. Even if a stock fluctuates, there is a specefic value that you can find out and get if you sell it. To some people they would be worth anything. For they wouldnt know were to begin to sell them, how much they are worth, or have the time to deal with all of that. All they can do is put them up for auction and take what they get. The real question i think about often times is. Is this all a fad? Or is this a market that couldnt exist to this extent before the internet? Which caused an exsplosion of interest and demand? Think about it, the internet allows access, communication, and ability to buy, sell, or trade petroliana. Interact with people globally. It may have been the tool needed to allow this hobby/business to explode.
