This sign is a reproduction. I have been messaging the seller and he is selling it for someone else, he agrees its a fake but has not pulled it. If everyone reports it maybe we can get it off before someone gets screwed.

Study the differences between my real one and the one on ebay, it becomes obvious quick.

Things wrong:

*Sign should be marked Veribrite

*Supposed to have split back brass grommets

*Shiny back with artificial age

*The hook in the D in Ford should be sharper and closer instead of blunt and father away.

*Obvious difference when studying the R in Ford

*The hook that comes off the D should be much longer

The first wave of repops never have the mounting holes in the right spot. Well they got that right this time but like stated above the lettering is off and back is recognizable as newer.

I have seen a few of these out there that look funky. Some are very well aged.

Nashman are you 100 percent sure all the real ones are marked verbrite???

Heres one found in a spring...no marking no tail in the o

57tbirdkid, when i went through Matthews website and did a Worthpint search, all of the originals that i found were marked. There were also two different locations for the marking and both were very close to one another on the bottom right hand side. It is possible that an original exist without the marking as we have all seen different variations of signs coming from different manufactures, however this is not the case on this sign.

I understand the one in question is not real...but the one I posted a picture of above has no stamping above or below the white border as the other ones have...it also does not have the tail in the "o"

Obviously the state of Florida isn't going to fake a sign so i would say that its real, like i said different mfg's had different versions so i would say that the fake one is based off of the sign you posted.
