The title actually states my question. I'm gonna sell one of the tiger "globes" (rather I suppose its just a pump top display). Was a tiger in the tank something done by Exxon or Esso or some other brand?

Brian, I'm pretty sure Esso, Enco, and maybe Humble use the "Put A Tiger In Your Tank" slogan. Not sure if that slogan was still in use after the name was changed to Exxon or not. Bob

Brian:
I scored a small (about 10" tall) ESSO stuffed toy tiger off of e-bay about a month ago. It came out of Canada.
I also managed to get an original 'Tiger Face' ESSO decal for the front of a pump. It has instructions for placement on two versions of their pumps. It may also have some sort of date or a print date on the decal carrier sheet. I don't remember the specifics at this time - but if you need me to, I can look when I'm home and post that info later. Just let me know.
Later . . .
Jim

Thanks, T-way (and others) for your replies. They are helpful. No more research is needed.
I plan to sell this pump topper/globe but wanted to know it affiliations before doing so. I've kept it only because it is the only "globe" my daughter appreciated when she was younger. Now that she gets an allowance for chores, I gave her the option to buy it but she passed... so it's e-bay bound.
