I picked up this Gilbarco pump, which I believe is a 996. It was an old farm pump which was sprayed silver. Before this, it was red/white/blue with the American oval logos. I can tell from removing the doors that this pump was originally yellow with the black band around the bottom. The only picture I can find of a yellow/black American pump is of a toy replica. Is the yellow/red globe and front sticker logo correct for a yellow/black pump? If so, what would the ad glass look like? I would like to restore this pump to original if the globe/sticker/ad glass is available.
Thanks,
Todd

Restore it to some thing that you Like. Most pumps were recycled from stations that were up graded/re-branded/ new imaged.

American Gas image below from my restoration book, displayed on a Bennett 646. Your G&B would match. Base band can be either black or blue, both were used.

Thanks guys,
I like to restore things to original when possible. Wayne, I see we're almost neighbors.

Here is a Wayne 866 I did many years ago. The American is a decal but originally it was painted on the door.
