hi all, I need a little help, went to michigan gas, wow cool, my first one. anyway I scooped a bowser 585 so I was told and after a better look I dont know the exact model, it is definatly a bowser looks like 585 but the ad glass goes on the bottom of the computer. I thought the ad glass went on top of the computer on the 585. did they build two versions of the 585, or do I have something else? there are no i.d. tags to go by. thanks for any help.

TRAVIS, COULD IT BE A CASE WHERE THE TOP IS ON THE BOTTOM AND VICE VERSA? MAYBE IT WAS INTERCHANGEABLE, BUT WOULD THINK NOT DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE FACE PLATES AND THE LIGHT SOCKET. MAYBE THEY MADE A COUSIN OF THE 585??? WE'LL SEE IF JACK SIM CHIMES IN HERE! ......JACK????......  DOC @ TAG/WEST drcoke@optonline.net

the face plate is at the top of of the window leaving a gap at the bottom where you could easily see the guts of the pump I am assuming the ad glass goes there, otherwise it would cover the faceplate. thanks

well my dad figured it out after awhile scratching his head, the veeder root unit was in the wrong spot it was too high, I couldent figure out why there was a hole about 4" below the reset crank hole that was plugged up, it was the original reset hole. turns out to be an easy fix. thanks DOC

TRAV....I WAS THINKING ABOUT THAT TOO....COULD THE BE THAT THE VR UNIT WAS MOUNTED HIGHER THAN FACTORY FOR SOME STRANGE REASON???? GLAD TO HEAR DADDIO FIGURED IT OUT AND THAT IT IS INDEED AN EASY FIX!  DOC @ TAG/WEST drcoke@optonline.net

Travi, if you would look on my website at the Signal yellow and Black pump. thats one version of the Bowser 585. the doors left off not open. the one you have is also a 585 but the doors are on hinges and the ad glasses are below the face glass. right?? ------------------ Dwaine www.vintage-logos.com

Dwaine great site, right the doors are on hinges and the ad glass goes on top of the vr unit, otherwise the lip at the bottom of the faceplate prevents the light getting to the ad glass. thanks for the help
