So I'm fishing with a buddy in Canada this past June, and he tells me he has this porcelain oil sign, he can't remember what brand, just that it's oil. He got it out of a gas station that was being demolished maybe 15-20 years ago, and has been sitting on a shelf in his garage ever since. I've been waiting since then, and finally today he sends me this picture of the sign. I nearly fell out of my chair. It is for sale to me, but I want to make a fair offer. SSP, 15x30. Any value help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If that cleans up with minor edge chips I would think at least $1,500. It is not one seen much. Other areas it may be higher....I should clarify my answer....that price I mentioned was for one I saw sold at Portland Swap Meet two years ago...may not be a scientific answer based on enough other sales.

Yeah, make that offer (or at least $1,000) and then spend $20 bucks on a bottle of Iron-X. Good Luck!

A very fair price for both parties would be $1250.00-$1500.00, as long as it cleans up (think it should). Just my opinion. How come I don't have any fishing buddies like that.

Very nice find.

Nice sign, should have no problem cleaning it.
