Some people restore cars and trucks... I want to restore a 1940's Car Dealership. Then invite the community over for the largest icecream shop, and live music venue this side of the Mississippi.
I've gathered up a few pumps and station decorations over the past 15 years... but the decor/theme for the place is not petro, so from time to time I have vintage stuff I can part with. Like most things the more interesting the stuff the more I want to hoard it. As a part time sub school teacher I do have the freedom to visit a lot of estate sales, and one just never knows what's hiding in those old sheds..!
As to collecting... I collect old auto and truck jacks from the teens thru the 1970s. If you have a jack or two that are unknown, send me a IM and I'll make a attempt to ID the old jack in exchange for permission to use the image in a future ID Guide.
