Here's my BOTW Bennet 76 I just picked it up today, fresh off the farm! He stopped using it in 1986 then put it the barn, he even tried to give me the underground tank,as the pump still worked.I passed on that,I told him I wasn't looking to pump gas with it. lol He said that his father purchased it used in 1946 for 150.00 from the Sinclair bulk plant in town.It had a globe on it up untill the mid 1980s, then his uncle took that and sold it for 800.00 dollars. The back side of the top is broken but it displays nice anyhow.
Thanks for looking and for posting my pics.

Did the gentleman say which Sinclair globe was on the pump? Just wondering.....
"Joe"
OK...Now the reason for the edit...I just noticed you only posted the above? So maybe I'm asking the wrong person???? ($800 for a globe back then...It must of been a goodie!)

Hey Sinclair Joe I asked him about the globe,he told me about the time they put in the barn(mid 1980s)that his uncle took it and sold it.I asked if it was one piece glass and he said no it had a plastic body and glass lenses he thought.I thought that 800.00 back then was alot of money for that globe, but I don't know my globes that well.Other than that, thats all I know about it.

Here are my buys of the week and my little pump hunter/vanna white. Ducecpe may be owning the Conoco sign soon. I got the Powerlube sign a few weeks ago so I bought the Powerine sign to go with it. Now I just have to find some lenses for the globe bodies.

Doc,
I was hoping to buy something at Dixie Gas and post it in BOTW, but it didn't work out....
Since we were going to pick up my in-laws in South Carolina and bring them back to Illinois with us we didn't have room to haul anything back from the show. I had to send my stuff home with Rex. I picked up a one piece baked Sinclair Gasoline globe with the striped logo from a friend of a friend on the way to the show. I also picked up two nice metal globe bodies from friend and fellow oldgasser Mike Howell.
I threatened to go by Rex's on the way home and pick up my globe and bodies and leave my mother-in-law. Haha.

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

Joe-Petroholic...
Thanks for the reply. WOW...That is a lot for a Capco based Sinclair globe, even today.
Unless it's fairly rare, like a Kerosene on Capco or even a super rare Triple Check!

Here are two of the three globes I picked up at Dixie gas from two Oldgas members. Thanks Paul and Frankie. Both are on Hull glass bodies. The third globe was a nice, but common Mobilgas on capco which I didn't have.

I picked these two original shipping boxes of Col-Tex globe lenses over the weekend. They are all in mint condition in their original shipping paper. The shipping lable is dated 1937.
