NOPE your OK, they have catalised spot puddy like stuff you can use over paint & primer. AND i mean they have "several" different brands of this stuff now, i was in the paint store the other day & they have regular bondo, regular bondo thats ground finer & sucks itself right into super fine sanding scratches & sands real EZ, they have catalised glaze, .....on & on, plastic tubes, cans, brands ive never heard of etc...i was just plain confused! ---- SO head for the paint/bondo store, tell em what your doing, what primer you layed on it & youll be set up for about 12 bucks!!!!!!
i walked away for a sec before i sent my post & DrDent beat me to the punch! hes right. i usually do the mud work, seal it then prime & block away!
although like he said its done alot, ive done it on occasion with great results.
