Greg, My recollection is that real vs re-pop has something to do with the mounting holes on the flange. Am thinking that if they are vertical, as yours are, that's it's an original. However, it may also have something to do with the number of holes. Dave

Anyone else? I've now got 100 views and only one response. Someone has to have some insight on this. I just need to know if I post it it next in the for sale section or known reproduction forum!! Thanks in advance to any who reply.

Hi Greg.....your flange IS original if the the mounting holes in the flange are elongated ..the repos have single small holes in the flange, where as the original is an elongated hole which yours appears to be...original has much thicker paint almost like porcelain with nice shelving & the metal is a little heavier, however i can't tell this by photos...hope this helps..

Just an FYI, I was at the Portland swap meet this afternoon, and looked at a Repo, it said it was a licensed product etc. on the flange, And it had elongated holes like the original. Just thought I would pass this on. Todd
