Has anyone ever been to that antique store in Wheeler, OR that has all the petroliana stuff? It's really the largest collection I've ever seen. Everything from huge gas station signs from pumps to small oil cans and random ads. Not all is for sale, but a very notable collection at that. All of the stuff is inside amongst other antiques. Signs hang from rafters, oil cans are tucked in between the studs of exposed walls. And old display cases hold small trinkets and toys all related to petroliana. I tried to google up some photos, but only found a few shots of a retired gas station next door. The ones below are kind of neat as it shows how many folks appreciate an old gas pump still on display even if they aren't aware of the world of petroliana. Just seen as plain art I guess... I've seen this pump, pretty sure it's a 39 Short. It's very rusted as a result of wheeler being a coastal town, but nontheless, I remember it catching my eye as a kid whooshing by to the campground in my parent's car. Even if nobody has heard of the place, pictures are always nice to look at! Jake
Currently have a Tokheim 39 Short under restoration.

Jake, thanks for sharing. I'm not sure where Wheeler is? But the weather is getting warmer and it might be almost time to take a roadtrip over to the coast.

The place looks like a fromer station or at least a mom and pop store and station at one time. That would be the kind of place I'd be looking to stop at.

I have been there several times in the past years and enjoyed each time. As you said most of the petro items are the owners private collection. Wheeler is just South of Cannon Beach in Northwestern Oregon. Wayne
