Thought I would post a pic of some gas pumps I found the other day. Look like late 60s maybe????? I really dont know. here is a pic

If they price more than a dollar per gallon they were used recently...last 30 yrs
worth a few bucks...not bad to restore

Here in Kansas - we would just offer to haul them away for free. Worth scrap metal prices only here - nothing more.

In 10 years they will be worth good money(IMO), same as every other old pump. Pumps that were given away as scrap in the 30s,40s and 50s now bring good money. As Joe said,if these pumps don't go up to $1 plus pricing per gallon they will be worth more, sooner. If the economy stays weak, lower end pumps will be "snatched" up by new collectors, also "muscle car" collectors will go after older pumps like these and the GB Trimline models as they are period correct for late 50's through 70's cars. I picked up 4 GB trimlines for about $20 each, 12 yrs or so ago. I sold 3 of them for $200 each, 8-9 years later. Cleaned them up and took them to a car show, even now I get offers on my last one from "muscle car collectors" in my area who want a period correct pump. Like I said, in my opinion they are worth saving.

Wonder how many Wayne 60s, A38's and the like found their way to the scrap yards back in the day? I remember talking to a local man who had accumulated quite a collection of old pumps and eco air meters quite some time ago. He said he used to go to the junk yards and pull them out by the truck load. Wow, the stuff we let go and never knew their worth down the road.

As all the others get more expensive, and out of reach of someone who just wants a pump for the novelty.
These types are the best alternative to a cheap pump.
If you can get them cheap... get 'em.

If you can sell them and make a few bucks and keep them from the scrap metal yard, you did a good deed !!!!

...for what it's worth, I believe these are 1960's GOC pumps that were converted/remanufactured in the mid-70's...the stainless panels and the base look exactly the same to me...

These are easy to restore, blast the frame and base, paint them and the plastic faces, Gulf decals and a $750 pump at a car show. Don't scrap them, restore them.

Gulf Oil that was here in Atlanta, had a big re-man shop.
They would have Anniston pump shop cut the dollar hole in the faces and paint the doors and bezels.
They did a lot of those pumps that way. That was in the 80's
I suppose they already had the semi auto computers. But they were upgraded from the 101 (99.9)to the 2002/2002e 199.9 / 299.9 computers. Most of those were pumps and were Southwest guts.

Thank for the replies guy. I spoke with the orner, who I am trying to by two old mopars from. He says the pumps belong to the entire family, so who knows. I will try and get them if possible.

I like them and personally feel that they may not be old to most of us, I am almost 48 and they are probably the next generation and fit the muscle car era pretty well. They would look great on a small island in front of a couple of late 60s roadrunners and cudas or something.
