The lower gear set(gallons) & upper gear set(dollars) will run independant of each other. There should be a vertical gear shaft directly above the horizontal gear box, running inside the pricing geaarbox, that ties the gallons & dollars together. The horizontal gear box is the round drum under the pricing computer. Clear as mud, I'm sure.... This is like doing mail order braain surgery so drop me an "e" if you need any more confusion.
