FOUND THIS AT A YARDSALE HAVING SEVERAL OIL BOTTLES. MOST WERE GENERIC COMMONS, BUT THIS ONE STOOD OUT....SO I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE IT WAS DIFFERENT. READS "MARQUETTE MFG CO" EMBOSSED IN THE GLASS. I ASSUME IT'S AN OIL BOTTLE.

ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THESE ARE WORTH?

THANKS!

I finally got around to stopping by an old closed up gas station that has been closed for "Mega" years, and every time I stop by the owner isn't around! This time I caught him at home and he told me there wasn't anything of value in the station and he didn't want to sell anything anyway. After a few minutes of polite conversation with him, he agreed to go down and show me the old place. It was once a Cities Service station and we had a long visit about the stations history and a real enjoyable conversation about the past. As we were ready to leave, I asked if he'd sell me a souvenir and when he asked what it would be, I showed him 2 items that were in nice shape and he agreed to sell them to me after all! As we were departing the station, he invited me out to the shed behind the station where he kept his old John Deere tractors. Very average tractors but he was very proud of them and as we were leaving, he let me take 2 old Cities Service, 5 gal cans that were as nice as I've seen! It took an hour out of my time but I was able to buy some really nice stuff and I learned about a piece of history, right here in my area. I also had a great conversation with an amazing old fellw---He's 96 years young! May I be so blessed as to live that long and be in that good of shape!
Here is the "BEFORE" pics

Here are the pics "AFTER" the cleanup. Fuse display is absolutely perfect on the sides and back! Its an older model with the wire dividers!

Not much to look at but they were going to be scrapped so I "saved um"

They are all single sided. The plain sunoco sign was a neon. still has part of the can and some clips on them.
