On the Erie 70's the actual glass panel mountes behind the porcelain face plates. The only portion of glass that you see is where the numbers and price digit openings are.

There is a stamped lightweight metal piece that locates the glass in relation to the porcelain faceplates. This panel keeps the glass from sliding out of alignment during usage.

I'll pull one of my faces apart today and shoot some shots for you (I'll post them on Tuesday when I get back in the office - dial up is too slow to do it from home).

I'd be happy to shoot shots of the side panels - but my pump is not assembled yet as I haven't finished painting the sheet metal. I just have the frame, the electrical and the top done.

Your 'blue' glass could just be original glass to the pump. Never replaced.

The old glass had a tendency to turn blue with prolonged exposure to sunlight. You see this a lot in old collectable bottles.
