I have finally started to restore my Wayne 70 Pump. I do not have a sandbaster at my use, so I was thinking trying to clean up the rusted parts with miratic acid. I have never used this item so I want to ask for some advise, like proper mixture, how to apply and how to clean before priming. Thanks for any help gang.

NOT A GOOD IDEA.
Take your parts to a sandblaster or have them dip stripped, you will save alot of time.
IF having them dip stripped, besure there are no potmetal or alum. parts attached or included [they will dissolve-- POOF- gone].

I would also recommend getting it blasted... I dragged my whole pump down to a place and it was very reasonible.... plus no mess. I was going to try and DA or strip it myself but didn't want to deal with the mess plus possible lead in paint dust etc. etc.

Muriatic acid would be very nasty to use on a pump. It's dangerous and not as effective as sandblasting anyways.
