I, does anyone know how the ad glass is installed on an Erie 748? There is no pieces on the window frame work like I see in pictures of this pump. Thanks for any info...

I am restoring the same pump right now, and I have been wondering the same thing. My pump does not have the cross bars that I have seen in many of the pictures, but mine has two frame clips that are on the window frames that will hold it in place, just doesn't have the chrome or stainless trim.

On the back of the window frame you will see a series of small holes. The metal retainers that hold the glass down fasten in these holes. The 2 stainless strips layed in a recessed area of the frame, then the glass layed in place, the window glass is one big piece that went the full length. Then the ad glass slipped into the retainer clips for the ad glass.
