Is there any way to tell if these patches are the real deal? Any info would be appreciated.

I'd say they are modern. Nothing about them looks correct.
Most importantly, they used computer fonts to create the patch, so that's a dead giveaway.
Collector of Illinois Oil Company, Iowa Oil Company, Round Outboard Motor Oil Quarts, St. Louis Gas Pumps, Double Cola, and anything else awesome.

...I doubt they ever existed...the companies that comprised the short-lived IOMA were small independents, most of which wouldn't spring for such an expense...
...but I could be wrong...

if you have access to a black light, see if they glow. older original patches were cotton thread, while the more modern stuff has poly blend thread that will glow under black light.
